I had this game on my wishlist months before it came out: to say I'm pleased with the game as a whole is such an understatment. Despite its questionable conent (which is highly enjoyable regardless, along with taleted and skilled voice acting.) It was so fun to play through each character- to unravel this well put together story, to grow and destory relationships was so sophisticated and wondrous. I've never found a BL visual novel to be so enjoyable for the plot and for the "plot". I'm so excited to see any new updates for the game and hope in the future this fantastic comapny creates another great BL game since we are much lacking such amazing games in Steam, BL, and Visual Novel community.. This VN was really good! The stories for each of the characters are different enough to be interesting yet they are all interconnected so that by playing them all you get the full story of what happened. I love the music, the artwork is amazing and those sound effects (I died laughing when I first heard them because I thought of the people in the sound booth recording them and different ways those effects could be procured). The one thing that I have to say is that for $30 I expected to have ALL of the characters to have a route and was upset that Edward did not have one...his could have been the most exciting and dramatic!! Instead, my pervy self died instantly having to read the child's mandatory route... don't get me wrong it's nice for the backstory but I seriously wanted to walk into the fire!! Please give Edward a route; he deserves one after all the sh*t he has gone through lol!! The crazed and unstable butler is my Fav (btw I was seriously shocked that he didn't kill himself, I really thought that he did and I was kinda sad that he didn't but I got over it when I saw his face)! Also, I kinda wanted to see some more serious yaoi jealousy (possibly though the "use" of the easy chick?) because there were plenty of chances to throw that in there.Despite the two small gripes above this is a good game to have in your collection!! I don't write reviews often so I'm kinda of a newbie, but this needed one!I bought this game earlier today and all I have done is complete Jeremy's endings but I had to say something otherwise I'll find a reason not to, this game is incredible! The writing is smart, the characters are all enjoyable in their own way except for one certain, hateful ♥♥♥♥♥ (I think it was a shame that Edward didn't have his own ending but I'm sure if I play more then it'll become more evident why) and Alex Wake himself is one hell of a lead!I have to give special kudos here to the music composer and the singer, the music composed is always top knotch in my opinion and there was such a variety, I would occassionally stop playing the game just to listen to it, I noticed you can buy the soundtrack so I think I will when I get my next paycheck. Also the singer has such a voice and range that I actually saved before Jeremys good end just to listen to that ending song a few more times.Like I have said, I have only done Jeremy's route -at first I was worried cosidering this game does have sex in it but then read that the game doesn't include sexual depiction of minors (or women) so I was curious how this could play out and played this route first- and at first I was wondering if Jeremy would change Alex's mind and heart away from revenge since he reminds him of his sister which is something I picked up before the reveal but considering the game and time it is set I shouldn't have been so optimistic, and those endings! That bad ending felt like an arrow to my chest. Honestly, I was waiting for that gun to come back into play and when it did I admit to smiling like a madwoman, not from happiness though, I think I just became Alex for a second there haha But seriously, I had to reload immediately after the credits and choose to grab Jeremys hand instead.I will admit, I had to turn off a few of the voices since I had my own image of how they spoke but there was more voices that I kept on from how pleasant they sounded and how they just became the character. The art in this game is beautiful, especially the garden CG, that was especially sweet~ I also enjoyed interactive mode, it felt like it had added to the story in my mind, you could have just as easily written these in but having such a small new mode was interesting and felt,well, interactive~I likely have more to say but I literally have just finished getting both endings for Jeremy and am feeling a little high on the image of Jeremy holding onto Alex's arm, I don't even know how to describe that relationship except maybe an uncle and a nephew but even putting it in those plain terms doesn't feel too right.I love revenge stories so this was bread and butter, if you like them too then I do recommend buying this~Also, Studio Pieplus, thank you for making this game, it was an experience that I can't wait to continue with the other characters~ And if there's an Eddy DLC in the future then I'll buy it That's a half joke~. I personally recommend this game 100 percent, trigger warning though for some very dubiously consensual sexual scenes and sometimes straight up♥♥♥♥♥♥ If you are sensitive about that you should probably not play this game.That is not all this game is though, and that is why everyone else should give it a shot. The story is complex and every route you play through gives you one more piece of the puzzle of what exactly happened here all those years ago that twisted the main protagonist into this vengeance driven hate filled person. The music is awesome, the art is beautifully detailed.Two things tho, sometimes there is like five-ten seconds of silence between every music loop and it can feel very jarring, bringing you out of the immersion. A very minor thing I know, but it was just something that I picked up on that bothered me. Secondly, the sentences are sometimes awkwardly worded and probably not the best translated, and there are some misspelled words and sometimes they post the exact same sentence two times in a row, but it's all minor flaws and barely distract from the story, if at all.. Really loved the darkness of the plot at some points. Would absolutely recommend. Still thinking about this quite often and wish I could play it again for the first time.. Unfortunately I have to say I don't recommend it. -_-* I really wanted to like this more. I feel really bad giving a BL game when there are so few a negative review. I just don't think because we are a niche our quality should have to suffer so greatly.The voice acting is good. Even though it is in Korean they sound great.You play as Alex. Alex is well, a jerk. He treats everyone terribly... Litterally r@pes and abuses everyone around him because he has issues with these other character's dad. You don't know why Alex is r@ping everyone... But he is mad. About something... I've completed every ending for Joshua and started working on Oscar. I'm still very confused why Alex holds so much contempt for the rest of the family, even after finishing the game several times. The writting is not that great. There is very little depth. The translating had some issues to English. The script uses. ".. the latter." many, many times when refereing to who is speaking or who did an action. Which is honestly quite hard to follow when your reading because it requires you to open up the log and see which name was mentioned last over and over. The sex happens actually too soon and too often. The characters seem to have alot of passion for each other but as a reader you never understand why because more than half the game you don't know why Alex is even in the their house or anything that happened in the past. The price of $30 is really interesting when you look at other games. A play though took me about 5 hours and there are about 10 or so, two answer questions each playthough that decide where the game goes... I guess it isn't bad, but there really isn't many choices and the questions really just drive to story towards which guy you want to abuse, r@pe, and end up ruining. The story does not take 25 hours... At all. Half of the writting and speach is heavy breathing and moaning. Maybe if you completed every single ending for every single guy there'd be 25 hours. I beat all the endings with Joshua, 3 of the 4 for him were essentially "game over" you made the wrong choice endings...One of the love interest is a very young child... One is a very young tween... Which is honestly just wrong. And weird. This is a game for +18... Why are there interests that are clearly children?
